![]() For the record many anons simply dislike Mori interacting with TT but don't go crazy about it. "What if interacting with ecelebs becomes the norm for hololive?" "What if my oshi starts collabing with ecelebs?" This worry starts a negative feedback loop where anons on 4chan start feeding into each others' worries which begins to manifest itself as hate. So then here comes Mori, someone who already doesn't follow typical hololive norms, interacting with these dreaded ecelebs and thus ruining this safe space.Įven if they don't watch Mori, in the back of their minds that peace of mind that hololive has given to them has been broken. They get to watch cute anime girls have fun and interact with chat without a care in the world. They don't have to worry about politics, cancel culture, etc. Many hololive fans see hololive as, for lack of a better term, as a "safe space". Anitubers are seen poorly because of the type of humor they use and how they're seen as "ironic weebs" ruining the hobby for actual weebs. They associate ecelebs with drama, clout chasing, etc. That's basically what ecelebs/anitubers are for 4chan. For example, redditors typically hate the idea of pre-ordering games despite the general populace not really caring. (Note that this is just based off of my experiences and isn't a definitive answer.) So forums in general tend to have certain topics they like or dislike. She defended him because people were blatantly smearing his name especially when that person is most likely one of the few english speaking friends she has left in japan. Did Mori fuck up and feed the trolls sure, but its asinine to portray this narrative that Mori only defended Connor because he was her friend. The biggest thing that irks me about this situation is that a major crux the anti's use agaisnt Mori is that her friend trash talked hololive when he never did. ![]() So Connor gave an example to Iron Mouse (someone with no real world job experience with her only point of reference being vtubing) which was how once you get into hololive it doesn't matter as you will find success since at that point they can't just fire you for being mildly incompetent. This was then followed by Iron mouse believing that the entertainment industry was different since you have to perform. He believed that lying to a certain extent is needed to procure any job. The point of his statement was about whether or not it was ok to lie on a job application. The idea that Connor trash talked hololive is such blatant misinformation and out of context it baffles me to see that this is the actual narrative people have gone with without doing any research for the truth. I'm tired of seeing this false narrative being spread everywhere.
